Hello, my name is Maia and I am a female Sphynx cat...and yes I'm hairless...and yes I have cattitude!
I rule! Let's get that straight right off the bat. My job is to greet everyone who comes through the door, make sure they are suitable company and then leave the room.
I wrestle with the dogs and torment Spook whenever I get the chance.
I originally came from the Toronto area and was flown into Montreal in a very large bird. When my human slave picked me up at cargo I was very relaxed in my crate and quite happy to meet my new family. My slave said I was the first cat she ever owned who didn’t hide somewhere when it first got to her new home. I turned
eight years old in May 2009.
Since the first day of my arrival I knew I had to fight to survive. There is no pampering around here, not with all the dogs in the house. They are so dumb and try to catch me whenever they can ... I love watching them bump into the furniture when they think they have me cornered.
Zar's not bad. He at least plays even although he is ten times my size!
A few years ago the humans brought a new one in the house. They call it Merlin. I'm working on training it, but it's like a bull moose! It was cute when it first came here, but now it looks like a big wooly sheep. Mom said I have to be nice it, and I was...well, most of the time, but now all bets are off...it's him or me!
***Update: May 2009:
That wooly thing, Merlin, is impossible. It's so thickheaded &
insists on chasing me around. I of course I've outsmarted it every
turn, but it really is starting to annoy me. I'd hack up a few
hairballs into his water dish if I had any hair to hack up. Oh well,
I'll think of something to torment him with, but right now it's time to
get my food dish filled. I must tune up my vocals for some ear
splitting meow sessions. Gets those silly humans running every time.
***Update: July 2009:
They got another dog!!! So far it doesn't chase me so I have not had
to put it in its place. Merlin continues to be a pain in the butt!
